FC Dallas (MLS) Hires Soccer Coach Fredy Herrera

Paramus, NJ - Bergen Community College is proud to announce that Head Men's Soccer Coach, Fredy Herrera, has landed a job with Major League Soccer over the summer.   He was hired by FC Dallas as a video analyst in late May.

After two back to back Region XIX titles, Coach Herrera, leaves Bergen's soccer team stronger than ever.  In his four years as head coach at BCC, Coach Herrera's career record at BCC was an impactful 46-28-3.  He also had a record of 6-4 in the post-season with two appearances at the NJCAA National Soccer Tournament.

As a former Bulldog and All-Region XIX student-athlete, Coach Fredy had a goal and passion to get Bergen its first Region XIX Soccer championship title.  His desire for a region title came true, when they won in penalties kicks in 2015.  He then demonstrated that it was not luck that won Bergen its first title, by winning the following year.  The back to back region titles have earned Bergen Community College national recognition in the Top Ten NJCAA DIII ranking polls.

Bergen Community College's Athletic Department congratulates and wishes the best to their bright alumni, who continues move up the professional coaching ladder.
