Bergen Community College Men’s Basketball Secures 86–81 Victory Over Delaware County
PARAMUS, N.J. (Nov. 15, 2025) — Bergen Community College earned a hard-fought 86–81 home victory over Delaware County Community College on Saturday afternoon, using balanced scoring and efficient perimeter shooting to improve their early-season momentum.
Bergen set the tone early with a 47-37 lead at the break, powered by strong ball movement and timely shooting. Delaware County surged late, but the Bulldogs maintained composure in the closing minutes to seal the win.
Jeremy Polanco delivered a breakout performance, leading all scorers with 39 points, including an exceptional 11 three-pointers on 11-for-15 shooting from beyond the arc. His long-range efficiency anchored Bergen's offense and proved decisive throughout the contest.
Jayden Rivera posted a near-double-double, contributing 19 points and 10 rebounds while adding seven assists in a complete all-around effort. Rivera's ability to facilitate and finish inside provided stability on both ends of the floor.
Forward Jarris Bertram added 12 points and nine rebounds, giving Bergen key interior production. Additional scoring came from Ezana Negusse (6 points), Thomas Munoz (3 points), Xavier Townes (2 points), Justin Price (2 points), and Kross Ford (3 points).
As a team, Bergen shot 42.4% from three-point range, knocking down 14 triples, and compiled 19 assists to just six turnovers—an efficient offensive showing that proved crucial in the narrow victory.
